Dr. Akbar Pathan, with a collaborative Ph.D. in Comparative Genomics from Max Planck Institute and Andhra University, embarked on a postdoctoral journey at the Medical University of South Carolina's Department of Biochemistry. His academic endeavors propelled him to a faculty position at King Saud University's Genome Research Center.
